Allen Leonard Zellman

February 4, 1972 - April 7, 2002

Allen L. Zellman, age 30 of Grey Eagle, died on Sunday, April 7, 2002 at the Monticello- Big Lake Community Hospital in Monticello. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12th at Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle. Pastor Ron Tibbetts will officiate with interment following in Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 to 1 p.m. Friday at the Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle.

Allen Zellman was born on February 4, 1972 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to John and Marilyn (Decker) Zellman. He was raised in Grey Eagle where he graduated from the Grey Eagle High School. Allen moved to Duluth and worked at Goodwill Industries for three years.  He resided at Arrowhead House in Duluth before moving back to the farm in Grey Eagle until 1999. Allen then moved to Lang’s Board and Care in Clear Lake, Minnesota. He was employed at Functional Industries Inc. in Buffalo, Minnesota doing assembly and janitorial work. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle. He enjoyed talking to people about the family farm.

Survivors include his sister, Charlene Gombrich and her husband, Scott of Long Beach, California and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece.

 Allen was preceded in death by his father; John Zellman on April 28, 1999; mother, Marilyn Zellman on November 3, 1985; brothers and sisters, Synthia Mapstone, Michael Zellman, Arnold Zellman, and Connie Zellman.

 Serving as casket bearers will be, Warren Decker, Bill Schwanke, Rick Weir, John Sutcliffe, Bud Rohde and Charles Birkholz.

Arrangements are with the Patton-Schad Funeral Service of Grey Eagle.
