Mary M. Wegleitner, 82, of Melrose died
Thursday at the Melrose Area Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial was 11 a.m.
Monday, September 23, 2002 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Grey Eagle with
Rev. Arlie Sowada and Rev. Ken Thielman officiated.
Burial
followed in the parish cemetery.
Friends
called from 4 – 9 p.m. Sunday and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad
Funeral Home in Grey Eagle. Parish prayers were at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home.
Mary
Wegleitner was born on December 27, 1919 in Grey Eagle to Dome and Margaret (Waldvogel)
McClintick. She married Lambert Wegleitner on October 6, 1938 at St. Joseph’s
Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. They lived in St. Paul where she was employed by
Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years as a payroll clerk. They moved to
Arizona in 1984 and in 1998 she moved to Park View Center in Melrose. She was a
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Melrose and the Legion of Mary.
She
is survived by her sister, Doris Slimmer of Sauk Centre; brother, Lloyd
McClintick (Colleen) of San Diego, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lambert Wegleitner on May 1,
1998; sisters and brothers, Margaret McClintick, Gertrude Mohr, Florence Holler,
Caroline Denk, Catherine Clifford, Olivia Proell, Anna and Irene McClintick.
Casket
bearers were Jerome Mohr, Jerome Denk, Mark Clifford, Lloyd Graves, Paul Graves
and Steve Huppert. Cross bearer was Clarence Eiynck and Scripture bearer was Lee
Wegleitner. Gift bearers were Debbie Sand, Delores Curtis and Ruth Korinek.
