Services
will be Thursday 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, St. Rosa for
Andrew Waltzing, 71, of Freeport who died Sunday at the Melrose Area Hospital.
Friends
may call Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the
Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be 8 p.m. Wednesday at
the funeral home.
Andrew
E. Waltzing was born March 9, 1931 in Millwood Township, Stearns County,
Minnesota to John and Bernadine (Stoermann) Waltzing. He married Barbara C.
Heinen on November 21, 1953 in Northome, Minnesota. They farmed North of St.
Rosa, retiring in 1986. They then moved to St. Rosa. He enjoyed helping his
family and going fishing. Andy was a member of St. Rose Of Lima Catholic Church,
St. Rosa and The Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He
is survived by children, Linda Rakotz (Alois) of Albany, Susan Ertl (Ralph) of
Avon, Kathleen Haney of Herman, and David Waltzing (Mary Kay) of Freeport;
brothers and sisters, William Waltzing (Rose) of St. Cloud, Bernard Waltzing
(Opal) of St. Paul and Theresa Heinen of St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren and 1
great-grandchild.
