Ann B. Uhlenkamp, age 86 of Melrose, died on Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Pine Villa Care Center. Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 6th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose. Rev. Ken Thielman officiated with interment Friday, June 7th.in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Ann Uhlenkamp was born on October 28, 1915 in Melrose to Bernard and Mary (Klein) Kramer. She married Alois Uhlenkamp on March 2, 1946 in Minneapolis. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryle Tyrpa of Buffalo; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Stacy Tyrpa;
brothers and sisters, Bud Kramer, Ted Kramer, Louise Spehn, Alvina Spaeth and Veronica Wolf all of Melrose;
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Mary Kramer; husband, Alois on December 29, 1978; son, Dale Uhlenkamp on February 11, 1966; brothers and sisters, Marie Parish, Rose Illies, Alma, Helen, Leo, Henry and Ray Kramer.
Serving as casket bearers were Michael Kramer, James Kramer, Henry Illies, Robert Klassen, Larry VanHavermaet and Donald Spehn.
Serving as cross bearer was Stacy Tyrpa and scripture bearer was Rebecca Tyrpa.
