Mark L. "Pincher" Overman, 42

September 4, 1960 - December 20, 2002

Mark L. “Pincher” Overman, 42, of Freeport died Friday, December 20, 2002 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Freeport with Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Freeport. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Pincher was born on September 4, 1960 in West St. Paul, Minnesota to John “Sonny” and Margaret (Bolster) Overman. He was employed by Quality Trailer Products in Freeport. Pincher was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, involved in the Freeport Fishing Tournament, I-94 Ice Days, Pincher’s Annual Bowling Tournament, Pool League for Ackie's Pioneer Inn for 20 years and was St. Nick at the Corner Store. Pincher enjoyed the outdoors, both fishing and hunting. He will be remembered for his loon call.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Overman of Freeport; his dog, Junior; sister and brothers, Jane Saboe of New London, Neil Overman (Kelly) of Raytown, Missouri, Joel Overman of Freeport; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John “Sonny” Overman on Aug. 31, 1999 and brother, Greg Overman on Jan. 18, 1989.

Casket bearers will be Joel and Neil Overman, Steve and Gary Thelen, Carl Zwack and Gene Fuechtmann. Cross bearer will be Dana Saboe with Scripture bearer as Derick Overman.

Memorials are preferred to a headstone fund for Pinch.
