Hildegarde M. Neubauer, age 96, of Melrose, formerly of Spring Hill died Monday, December 16, 2002 at Pine Villa Care Center, Melrose.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Spring Hill with Rev. Leo Liesen and Rev. Walter Bednark officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers at 7 p.m. and Catholic Aid at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Hildegarde Neubauer was born on September 19, 1906 in Dennison, Minnesota to John and Katherine (Schoenoff) Neubauer. She lived on a farm near Spring Hill and later moved into Spring Hill. She moved to Pine Villa Care Center in June of 2000. Hilda enjoyed embroidery, quilting and gardening. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Spring Hill, Catholic Aid Society and Christian Women of Spring Hill.
Survivors include her brother, Math Neubauer of Melrose and sister, Marie Schwieters of Spring Hill; 3 nieces and 4 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Hank, Leo and Norbert Neubauer.
Casket bearers will be LeRoy Bertram, Ray Welle, Jerome Bertram, Werner Gruber, Jim Finken, Roman Neubauer, Tony Klaphake, and Ray Nietfeld. Honorary bearers will be Mary Kay Bertram, Marcella Lieser, Alverna Welle, Rita Nietfeld, Hortense Walz, Alice Klaphake, Moni Barten and Marilyn Gruber. Cross bearer will be Traci Schwagel.
