Geraldine "Gerry" A. McCallum
November 21, 1931 - January 24, 2002
Geraldine "Gerry" McCallum age 70, of Grey Eagle Township, died Thursday, January 24, 2002 at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, January 28th at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle. Rev. Ron Tibbetts will officate. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church in Grey Eagle.
Gerry McCallum was born on November 21, 1931 in Minneapolis to Charles and Anna (Rusinko) Hansen. She married Raymond McCallum on September 15, 1956 in Robbinsdale, MN. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School and worked for Honeywell in Minneapolis for 5 years. She then stayed at home to raise her family and later worked for Lakeland Engineering for 15 years before retiring in 1989. The couple built a lake home on Mound Lake between Grey Eagle and Upsala. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle and previously a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the alter guild. Gerry loved cooking, ceramics, camping and dancing.
Survivors include her husband, Ray McCallum of Grey Eagle Township; children, David McCallum (Therese) of Savage and Douglas McCallum (Sheri) of Hanover; 4 grandchildren, Peter, Andrew, Bryan and Megan; brother, Loren Hansen of Reemer; sister, Jacqueline Hansen of Crystal; niece, Nancy Johnson (Gene) of Crystal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Hansen and brother, Donald Hansen.
