Josh Maus

December 19, 1975 - November 23, 2001

           Josh Maus, age 25, of Melrose died Friday, November 23rd at Saint Cloud Hospital due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.  Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27th at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose.  Rev. Vince Lieser officiated, with burial following in the parish cemetery.

           Joshua Bernerd Maus was born December 19, 1975 in Melrose to Jim and Alvina (Terhaar) Maus.  He graduated from Melrose High School in 1994.  He attended North Dakota State University from 1994-1999, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.  He has worked for McCombs Frank Roos Associates in Plymouth from 1999 until present.  He loved hunting, bowling, golfing, softball, and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose.

           Survivors include his parents, Jim and Alvina Maus of Melrose; grandparents, Frances Terhaar of Sauk Centre, and Winifred Maus of Melrose; brothers, Jordan and Ben Maus at home; aunts and uncles, Mark (Bonnie) Maus, Bernita (Duane) Hinnenkamp, Mike (Lou) Maus, all of Melrose, Jeanette (Willie) Hetland of Browerville, Linda (Jerry) Frericks, Pat (Danette) Terhaar, Jeff (Carol) Terhaar, all of Sauk Centre; numerous cousins, and many, many friends.

           He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wendelin Maus and Charles Terhaar.

           Serving as casket bearers were Paul Hetland, Kelly James, Chris Frericks, Brent Lynch, Corey Frericks, Matt Terhaar, Brandon Hinnenkamp, and Jon Hinnenkamp.  Cross bearer was Megan Frericks; scripture bearer was Lisa Frericks.  Honorary bearers were Cory Pettit, Jesse Kampsen, Chad Imdieke, Scott Sprenger, Keith Studer, Brad Andvik, Jeff Roos, Mark Rademacher, John Schmidt, Andy Welle, Dan Urocheski, Scott Bertram, Greg Rieland, Scott Rademacher, Joe Kraemer, Terry Schulzetenberg, Mike Terres, Erik Miller, Max Stanislowski, Neil Blenker, Kevin Bauer, and Jason Gettel.

           In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

           Arrangements are with Patton-Schad Funeral Service of Melrose.
