Ann Kluempke

July 25, 1942 - March 11, 2002

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

           Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose.  St. Anne’s Christian Mothers from New Munich and Daughters of Isabella will pray at 7 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

           Ann Agnes Kluempke was born in Meire Grove to Joseph and Agnes (Brang) Welle.  She married David Kluempke on April 11, 1964 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Meire Grove.  The couple farmed north of Melrose until 1978, when they moved to New Munich to operate New Munich Bus Service.  She was a school bus driver for 25 years.  She loved her family very much, and was a devoted wife and mother.  She enjoyed going to the lake, spending time outdoors, wildlife, snowmobiling, and flowers.  She was a member of Daughters of Isabella – Melrose Court, and St. Anne’s Christian Mothers of New Munich.

           Survivors include her husband, David Kluempke of New Munich; children, Mark Kluempke of Burnsville, Lori (John Zarogoza) Kluempke-Zarogoza of Melrose, Shari Kluempke of Burnsville; brothers and sisters, Duane (Carol) Welle of Blaine, Joan (Bert) Dold of Clearwater, Tony (Carol) Welle of Blaine, twin sister Marie (Nick) Weyrens of Apple Valley; grandson, Mack Zarogoza; step grandchildren, Mandy, Matt, and Mike Zarogoza.

           She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Brent Kluempke, and infant Brent Kluempke; brothers, Larry Welle and Ed Welle.
