Herman R. Klimmek

Herman R. Klimmek, age 80 of New Munich, died Sunday, January 6, 2002 at
Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose.
Memorial services were held Wednesday at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church
in Melrose, with Rev. Fred Kutter officiating.
Herman Robert Klimmek was born January 11, 1921 in Krain Township,
Stearns County to Henry and Ida (Sabrowsky) Klimmek.
He married Lorraine R. Moonen on January 27, 1944 in Saint Anthony.
The couple lived in the Albany area for 5 years; then moved to the New
Munich area.
Herman worked as a truck driver all of his life.
He retired in 1979, but continued doing some part-time work.
He enjoyed ice fishing and cars.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Klimmek of New Munich; children,
Joyce Carpenter and her husband, David of Golden Valley, Karen Brusacoram and
her husband, Gary of Minnetonka, Glenn Klimmek and his wife, Sandy of Swanville,
Elaine Ecker and her husband, Bill of Perham, Audrey Jueveland and her husband,
Dale of Detroit Lakes; brothers, Edwin Klimmek and his wife, Adelaide of
Minneapolis, Herb Klimmek and his wife, Margaret of Minneapolis; sister-in-law
Clara Klimmek of Holdingford; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roger Klimmek; brothers,
Rueben and Otto Klimmek; sister, Alice Braun.
