Elaine Eleanore Hinnenkamp
November 3, 1930 - June 3, 2002
Elaine (Eveslage) Hinnenkamp, age 71 of Melrose died
Monday, June 3 due to complications of ALS.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7 at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church in Melrose with Father Vincent Lieser officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will
be from 4 to 9 pm Thursday and from 8 to 10 am Friday at Patton-Schad Funeral
Home in Melrose. St. Elizabeth’s
Society and the Christian Mothers will pray at 7 pm followed by parish prayers
at 8 pm on Thursday
Elaine Hinnenkamp was born on November 3, 1930 in St.
Augusta, MN to Ferdinand and Loretta Eveslage.
She was united in marriage to Andrew Hinnenkamp on August 28, 1951 at
Sacred Heart Church in Freeport, MN.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Christian Mothers,
St. Elizabeth’s Society and Holy Spirit Mission. Elaine loved quilting, crocheting, gardening, cooking,
reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew of Melrose; five
children, Michael (Nancy) Hinnenkamp of Wayzata; Chuck Hinnenkamp of Shakopee;
Cheri Hinnenkamp of Melrose; Joan Hinnenkamp of Woodbury and Kelly Hinnenkamp of
Waite Park; brothers, Leo Eveslage of Mission, TX; Melvin “Bud” Eveslage of
Melrose; John (Joyce) Eveslage of Freeport; sisters, Bernie Koetter of Bemidji;
Mary Eveslage of Oakdale; Carol (Tony) Niehaus of Melrose; and Kathy Eveslage of
Marshall, and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her parents and two children, Michelle and Mary Beth, preceded her in
death.
Serving as casket bearers are Andrew, Michael, Chuck,
Cheri, Joan, Kelly Hinnenkamp, Melvin “Bud” and John Eveslage.
Cross-bearer is Stephanie Hinnenkamp with Michelle
Hinnenkamp serving as scripture bearer.
Honorary bearers are Darlene Bussman, Denise Duevel, Louise Gieske, Aggie Hinnenkamp, Claudette Hinnenkamp, Donna Janssen-Hinnenkamp, Mary Niehaus, Bernie Pohlmann, Carol Pohlmann, Irene Pohlmann, Darlene Stevens, Bonnie Theiler, and Betty Thieschafer.
