Patricia "Pat" Gowdy
October 16, 1924 - May 1, 2002
Patricia R. Gowdy, age 77 of Melrose, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose. Memorial services were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 6th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vincent Lieser officiating. Inurnment followed in the parish cemetery.
Pat Gowdy was born on October 16, 1924 in Melrose to Martin and Margaret (Frank) Wander. She was employed at the Melrose Area Hospital for 20 years as a surgical LPN. Pat was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose, Schanhaar-Otte VFW Post 7050 Auxiliary and the Daughters of Isabella of Melrose.
Survivors include her children, Susan Rominger of St. Cloud and Richard Gowdy and his wife, Kathy of Holmen, WI; one grandson, Chad Rominger of Santa Monica, CA; three step-grandchildren, Kim, Karla and Dean; brothers and sisters, Betty Johnson of Fergus Falls, Jill Schleper of St. Cloud, Jack Wander and his wife, Patty of Duck, NC and David Wander and his wife, Joan of Melrose.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Margaret Wander.
