Charles J. “Chuck” Eickhoff, age 42, of Freeport died Monday, June 10, 2002 at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport with Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church in Freeport.
Charles Eickhoff was born on December 15, 1959 in Melrose, Minnesota to Melvin and Norma (Austing) Eickhoff. He graduated from Melrose High School and was self employed installing hardwood flooring. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, trap shooting and hunting. Chuck was a member of St. Joseph’s Men’s Society, Freeport Lions Club and Albany Sportsmen’s Club.
Survivors include his children, Jeremy Eickhoff of Freeport and Sara Eickhoff of Minneapolis; special friend, Iris Monti and her children, Bobbie, Brandi and Brady of Freeport; parents, Melvin and Norma Eickhoff of Freeport and siblings, Ralph Eikhoff of Freeport, Mary Mathisen (Todd) of Stillwater, Alvin Eickhoff (Mary Ann) of Cold Spring, Barb Sand (Tom) of Browerville.
Casket bearers will be Ed Hennen, Jeff Hoeschen, Larry Beuning, Brian Walz, Mark Koetter, Duane “Dewey” Rothstein. Cross bearer will be Keith Sand and Scripture bearer will be Jeff Eickhoff. Honorary bearers will be Freeport Lion’s Club.
