Pauline Cathrine Bushman

June 5, 1909 - September 26, 2002

Pauline C. Bushman, age 93 of New Munich, died Thursday, September 26, 2002 at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, September 30th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 – 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 – 10 a.m. on Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose.  The St. Anne’s Christian Mothers will pray Sunday evening at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Melrose. 

Pauline Catherine Bushman was born on June 5, 1909, in New Munich, to John and Frances (Schwieters) Suck.  She married Walter Bushman, Sr. on April 16, 1929 at New Munich.  Pauline resided in New Munich until moving to the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany in 1998.  She was a homemaker all her life. Pauline was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the St. Anne’s Christian Mothers of New Munich.   She is survived by her children, Roman “Boysie” Bushman and his wife, Lou of New Munich; Ken Bushman and his wife, Pat of New Munich; Dolores Terwey and her husband, Larry of Sauk Centre; Walter “Buddy” Bushman and his wife, Virginia of Richmond; Wayne Bushman of Melrose and Darlene Burg and her husband, Roger of St. Martin; 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, who died November 22, 1968, her brother Claude “Cloudy” Suck, sister, Monica Kramer and 2 granddaughters.

Serving as casket bearers will be Pauline’s children, Roman “Boysie” Bushman, Ken Bushman, Dolores Terwey, Walter “Buddy” Bushman, Wayne Bushman and Darlene Burg.

Serving as cross bearer will be John Bushman and Paula Burg as scripture bearer.

Saint Anne’s Christian Mothers will be honorary bearers.

Arrangements are with Patton-Schad Funeral Service of Melrose.
