Arnold G. Boeckers

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church in New Munich for Arnie Boeckers, 75, who
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Patton-Schad Funeral
Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Joseph’s Men’s Society will pray
at 7:30, followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Arnold Gerhard Boeckers was born November 3, 1926 in New Munich to Mike
and Margaret (Eichoff) Boeckers. He
married Lorraine Hoeschen on May 24, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Freeport. The couple lived on the
home farm 5 miles south of New Munich until 1986.
Arnie never retired; he kept working on the farm until the very end.
He was a generous and loving husband, father, and friend to many.
The fruits of his kindness and generosity will remain with us always and
he will occupy a special place in all of our hearts forever.
Arnie took great pleasure sharing in the company of others on the farm
and he was devoted to his wife and family.
His lifelong love was caring for the animals and working in the fields.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lorraine Boeckers of New Munich; eight
children, Carol Schneider of Saint Cloud, Judy (Dave) Nelson of Monticello, Joe
Boeckers (fiancée Diane) of Upsala, Jim (Diane) Boeckers of New Munich, Marvin
(Michelle) Boeckers of Henning, Irene (Don) Lieser of Meire Grove, Marilyn
(John) McDonald of Richland, Wash., Lois (Tim) Matti of Blaine; 22
grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. He
was preceded in death by daughter, Sandy Boeckers; brother, Hildebrand Boeckers.

lifetime’s not too long to live as friends.”
We love you Dad & Grandpa and will sorely miss you.
