Jeanette Margaret Berscheit, age 67

November 25, 1934 - May 25, 2002

Jeanette Berscheit, age 67 of Grey Eagle died on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Bernard Gruenes officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery

Friends may call at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers at 8 p.m. Monday evening at the church in Grey Eagle.

Jeanette Berscheit was born on November 25, 1934 in St. Rosa, Minn. to Henry and Elizabeth (Poepping) Heinen. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Berscheit on April 19, 1955 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in St. Rosa. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Christian Mother’s. Quilting, gardening and bowling were her favorite pastimes.

Survivors include her husband Lloyd Berscheit of Grey Eagle; eight children, Bruce (Diane) Berscheit of Waite Park, Mike (Kathy) Berscheit of Burturm, Brad (Dorinda) Berscheit of Melrose, Kathy (Steve) Tschida of Grey Eagle, Nancy (Dale) Primus of Sauk Centre, Tom (Christy) Berscheit of Grey Eagle, Sharon (Ken) Young of Holdingford, and Carolee (Mike) Scherbing of Foley; brother, Harvey (Rita) Heinen of Sartell, sisters, Verena (Tony) Wegleitner of Melrose, Evelyn Muellner, Florence Tschida, Lourdine Berscheit of Grey Eagle and Millie  (Ambrose) Muellner of St. Cloud; and 23 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ray and Ed Heinen; sisters, Marcy Ostendorf and Dolores Toeben.

            Casket bearers will be Michael Scherbing, Matthew Scherbing, Jeremy Berscheit, Chris Berscheit, Craig Tschida and Ryan Tschida. Cross bearer will be Heather Berscheit with Matthew Elliott serving as Scripture bearer.
